Privacy Overview
This is a static informational website. It does not create visitor accounts, process payments, run advertising, use analytics, or track visitors across websites.
Information You Provide
The contact form asks for your name, email address, subject, and message so the Museum can respond. Online form delivery is not connected yet, so information entered in the contact form is not currently transmitted to the Museum or a form processor.
If you contact the Museum by phone, email, or mailed membership application, the Museum receives the information you choose to provide. If you request removal from marketing or newsletter emails, the Museum uses your email address to process that request and maintain its suppression records.
Website and Third-Party Services
GitHub Pages hosts this website and may process technical request information, such as an IP address, browser information, requested page, and date and time, to deliver and secure the site.
Pages containing a Google map load an embedded service from Google. Google may receive technical information and may use cookies or similar technology under its own policies.
The newsletter page embeds PDF files served by historicalglassmuseum.com. That server may receive technical request information when a newsletter is displayed.
The contact form is prepared for Formspree processing and Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection, but neither service is active until the Museum configures its accounts, endpoints, and keys. Before activation, the Museum should confirm this notice remains accurate. Once active, Formspree will process form contents for delivery to the Museum, and Turnstile will process technical information needed to evaluate whether a submission is automated.
Cookies and Tracking
The Museum website does not set its own advertising or analytics cookies. Because the site does not perform cross-site tracking, it does not change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals. Embedded services may have their own cookie and tracking practices.
How Information Is Used and Shared
The Museum uses contact information to answer questions, coordinate Museum activities, process applications received by mail, and manage email preferences. Information may be available to Museum volunteers who handle those requests.
For contact messages and email requests, information may also be available to service providers that operate the website, forms, spam protection, or email delivery.
The Museum does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for profiling. The Museum may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the website, the Museum, or others.
Retention and Choices
The Museum should keep contact messages and membership records only as long as reasonably needed for the request, its records, or legal obligations. Email opt-out information should be retained as needed to prevent future marketing messages.
To ask about information you have provided, use the contact page or call +1 (909) 798‑0868.
Children's Privacy
This website is intended for general museum visitors and supporters. It is not directed to children and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
Email Practices
Museum marketing and newsletter emails should use accurate sender information and subject lines, include the Museum's valid postal address, and provide a clear way to unsubscribe. The Museum must maintain its suppression records and apply unsubscribe requests to future marketing messages. These practices depend on the Museum's staff and email provider, not on this website alone.
Donations and Memberships
The Historical Glass Museum Foundation describes itself as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Donations may be tax-deductible as allowed by law. Membership benefits, goods, or discounts may affect the deductible amount.
Donors should keep their receipts and consult a tax advisor for their own situation. The Foundation is responsible for providing required acknowledgments and disclosures for donations, including written acknowledgments when required by IRS rules.
California Nonprofit and Charitable Solicitation
Because the Foundation is located in California and invites support from the public, the Foundation should confirm that it is current with California charitable organization registration, annual reporting, and any fundraising requirements that apply to its activities.
If the Foundation uses raffles, paid fundraisers, online donation processors, or outside fundraising campaigns, those activities may have additional rules and reporting requirements.
Accessibility
The goal of this website is to be usable by visitors on phones, tablets, desktop screens, keyboards, and assistive technology. If you have trouble using any part of the website, please contact the Museum so the issue can be reviewed.
Photo and Content Rights
Images, text, logos, and collection information should be used only when the Foundation owns them, created them, or has permission to publish them. Donated photographs and archival materials should be checked before use online.
External Links
This website may link to outside services, including maps, phone links, donation tools, social media, or archived media. The Foundation is not responsible for the privacy practices, accessibility, or content of third-party websites.
Copyright
Unless otherwise noted, website content belongs to the Historical Glass Museum Foundation or is used with permission. Please contact the Museum before reusing website text, images, logos, or collection materials.
